101 goats sacrificed by Hyd bizman to pray for Owaisi after attack
This comes a few days after MP Owaisi's car was shot at while he was on his way from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Delhi. He escaped without injuries.
A businessman sacrificed 101 goats at Bagh-e-Jahanara in Hyderabad on Sunday to pray for the safety and long life of Lok Sabha Member of Parliament Asaduddin Owaisi. The programme was attended by Malakpet MLA and AIMIM leader Ahmed Balala.
This comes a few days after MP Owaisi’s car was shot at while he was on his way from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Delhi. He escaped without injuries.
Since the attack on February 3, supporters of All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Owaisi have been offering prayers for his safety and long life.
After the attack, the Union home ministry approved Z-category security for Asaduddin Owaisi. However, he rejected the same.
ATTACK ON OWAISI
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi was on his way back to Delhi after a poll-related event in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut when his vehicle was fired upon near Chhajarsi toll plaza. He escaped without injuries.
According to the Additional Superintendent of Police in Hapur, main accused Sachin Pandit had fired the bullets. A 9 mm pistol was recovered from him. The police have arrested two people in connection with the case, Sachin and Shubham.
During police interrogation, the accused, Sachin, said he had shot with the “intention of killing”. He has claimed to be a member of the BJP.
Addressing a rally in Chhaprauli town of Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, Owaisi said, “Those who attacked me are the ones who killed Gandhi.”
