Former MLC Om prakash Sharma died on Saturday at the age of 87.
The news of Om prakash’s death has triggered a wave of mourning in the education world.
Saturday morning, Om Prakash Sharma had attended the dharna demonstration and fasting in the District School Inspector Office for various demands of teachers, after which he submitted a memorandum to the District School Inspector in the name of the Chief Minister and in the Late night he died.
There has been a spurt of consolation at the residence of former MLC Omprakash Sharma, who has dominated the teacher politics for half a century.
Hailing from Meerut, Om prakash Sharma was active in teacher politics since 1970, he held the record of remaining MLC for 48 years from Meerut teacher seat.
Om prakash Sharma contested the Election of MLC for the first time in 1970 and was elected MLC for the first time at the age of 37.He was elected MLC eight consecutive times.
