Ajmer Sharif Dargah a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, claims Maharana Pratap Sena, writes to Gehlot demanding ASI probe
Maharana Pratap Sena has claimed that Ajmer Sharif is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The organization has also written a letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot demanding a probe into it by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). The head of MPS has said that a movement will be launched if the survey is not conducted.
New Delhi: Amid the ongoing temple-mosque controversy across the country, Hindutva fringe organisation Maharana Pratap Sena has claimed that Ajmer Sharif is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
The organization has also written a letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot demanding a probe into it by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
The officials of Maharana Pratap Sena have also shared a picture, in which Swastika symbols can be seen on the windows of Ajmer Sharif Dargah.
Rajvardhan Singh Parmar, the founder of MPS, claims that Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah in Ajmer was an ancient Shiva temple.
What is the function of Swastika inside the Dargah, he asked and said that the state government and the Centre must carry out an investigation.
If the investigation is not conducted is not done in a week, we will meet the Union Ministers, he said adding that a movement will be launched if the survey is not conducted.
Amid the legal battle over the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi, another land dispute between Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Masjid is unfolding in Mathura with Hindu Mahasabha filing a plea in the civil court to seek the ‘purification’ of the Shahi Idgah mosque.
The plea is set to be heard on July 1.
The dispute essentially involves ownership of 13.37 acres of land which, the petitioners claim belongs to the deity Lord Shri Krishna. The Shahi Idgah Masjid is built on 2.37 acres of the total 13.37 acres of land.
Meanwhile, firebrand BJP leader Uma Bharti has said that Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura are a matter of faith for Hindus like Mecca-Medina is for Muslims.
“These places are the centre stage for millions of Hindus like Makka-Madina for Muslims and the Vatican City for Christians, said the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister.
These issues should be resolved to maintain the goodwill in the society, she added.
