Alternate day classes for inter students in Telangana

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) on Thursday issued guidelines on reopening of the junior colleges from July 1.
According to the guidelines, students attending the colleges must submit a consent letter from parents in a prescribed format.
Also, Online/digital classes through Doordarshan/T-SAT will be telecast on alternate days in order to maintain 220 working days in an academic year as per norms.
The junior lecturers can also take classes using online platforms viz, Google Meet and Zoom etc., for students who do not come to college on an alternate day basis. The Board has asked the junior colleges not to insist on mandatory 75 per cent attendance rule.
“Since there is an uncertainty with regard to the number of working days, 70 per cent syllabus may be continued for teaching as well as for Intermediate Public Examination (IPE-2022) for time being until clarity is there from GoI/CBSE etc,” reads the guidelines.
All junior lecturers have been instructed to report to their duties from June 25 so as to ensure classrooms and premises of the college clean and sanitized.
