New Delhi: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan’s health conditions deteriorated and he was hospitalised days after he was discharged from Lucknow’s Medanta Hospital and sent back to Sitapur jail in Uttar Pradesh.
On Monday morning, a team of doctors reached Sitapur jail to treat Azam Khan after his health condition deteriorated. He was later brought to the Medanta Hospital in Lucknow.
Khan was admitted to the same hospital in June for the treatment of Covid-19. He was discharged on 13 July.
Muslim activists have time and again accused the Uttar Pradesh authorities of denying necessary health facilities to Khan. They have also criticised Samajwadi Party leaders for not speaking for Khan.
