According to the information received, Ganguly suddenly suffered chest pain after which he has been taken to the hospital. It is known that Ganguly had a heart attack on January 2, 2021. After the attack, he was admitted to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata where he underwent angioplasty.

Dr. Aftab Khan, CEO Dr. Rupali Basu and Dr. Saroj Mandal, who treated him at the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata, had said that Ganguly had three blockages in his heart, which were ‘critical’, he has been stented. All his other organs are right, Ganguly’s family has had ‘Ischemic Heart Disease’ and that is why he too has fallen victim to this disease.
