CM KCR sanctions Rs 25 lakh for PNH patient

A resident of Repalle in Wanaparthy constituency, Shivani’s condition could be improved by bone marrow transplant

Wanaparthy: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sanctioned Rs 25 lakhs towards treatment of Shivani, who is diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH).

A resident of Repalle in Wanaparthy constituency, Shivani’s condition could be improved by bone marrow transplant, which costs about Rs.30 lakh. Shivani’s father Bal Reddy, a cab driver had migrated to Hyderabad 20 years ago and settled in Peerzadiguda.

Shivani secured a seat in MBBS but could not pursue the course due to her health condition. Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy took up Shivani’s matter with the Chief Minister and he immediately sanctioned Rs.25 lakh for treatment, which is available only at Continental Hospital in Hyderabad.

Agriculture Minister handed over the cheque to Bal Reddy, at his residence in Wanaparthy. Shivani’s family thanked the Chief Minister for extending financial assistance and Agriculture Minister for the timely support.
