The second wave of corona virus epidemic is wreaking havoc in different states of the country.

On Thursday, more than 4 lakh new patients of the corona virus appeared in the country, while 3,980 patients died due to infection. The oxygen crisis has also deepened in hospitals in many states of the country among the growing patients. Now famous virologist doctor Gagandeep Kang has given a relaxed news about corona virus.


Dr Gagandeep Kang told during a virtual meeting with members of the Indian Woman Press Corps, ‘Corona virus cases in India may see a decline by mid-May or late. However, some studies have also revealed that corona virus cases may reduce in early June. Based on the data that we are seeing at the moment, the middle of May or the end of the month may be called a reasonable estimate of a decrease in corona cases. Dr. Gagandeep Kang is currently working as an advisor to the government regarding the corona virus epidemic in Punjab and Andhra Pradesh.
At the same time, while talking about the effect of both the vaccine – Covishield and Covaxin of the corona virus present in India, Dr Gagandeep Kang said, “Both these vaccines provide protection against the corona virus. If you are surviving an infection, you will not infect others. Both these vaccines are doing a very good job in preventing corona virus infection and deaths from it. Although the vaccine cannot completely prevent corona infection, it can certainly reduce the risk of infection.
