Court extends the police custody of Republic day violence accused Deep Sidhu

Police custody of Deep Sidhu, the main accused of the violence that took place on 26 January in different areas including the Red Fort in Delhi, has been increased.

A Delhi court has sent Deep Sidhu on 7-day police remand. This news has come from the sources of Delhi Police. Deep Sidhu was produced in Tis Hazari court on Tuesday (February 16) at 10 am. During the appearance in the court, the crime branch had demanded to increase the custody of Deep Sidhu, after which the court sent Deep Sidhu on seven more days of police remand. Now Deep Sidhu will be kept in the crime branch custody till 23rd February. In the long questioning of the crime branch, Deep Sidhu has made many shocking revelations about the Red Fort violence.


Deep Sidhu was first sent in 7 days police Custody on 9 February 2021. After which, the court has again sent Deep Sidhu on 7 days remand. Now Deep will be in custody of Crime Branch till 23 February.
Deep Sidhu is being interrogated by the Crime Branch Joint Commissioner BK Singh and DCP Monica Bhardwaj about the 26 January, Delhi violence. IB officials are also interrogating Deep Sidhu.
