It is known that Deep Sidhu was arrested by Delhi Police on Monday for inciting violence on the Red Fort. The official said that Sidhu has also said that the tractor march for the Red Fort and ITO was not suddenly scheduled. He said that 15 days before the Republic Day rally, farmer leaders on the Punjab and Singhu borders were telling farmers that they would take out their tractor rally to New Delhi, Parliament, India Gate and Red Fort.

The police say that it will investigate Sidhu’s allegations. At the same time, farmer leaders say that they will not comment on Sidhu’s disclosure until they has read it themselves.
Manjit Rai, leader of the Indian Farmers Union Doab, said, “We cannot comment on such allegations until we officially know what Sidhu has told the police.”
