On the occasion of Republic Day,farmers protesting against the farm laws began their tractor march to Delhi. A large number of farmers have reached Delhi, where reports of skirmishes and clashes are coming out at different places.

According to the information, farmers have climbed the police’s water canon in Delhi’s Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. After which the police have released tear gas shells to control the protesting farmers.

Protesting farmers have removed police barricades near Karnal bypass.

On the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, near the Pandav Nagar, farmers have removed the police barricading. In Delhi’s Mukarba Chowk, the protesting peasants are removing the barricades by climbing on police vehicles. The manner in which large number of farmer demonstrators have arrived at the tikri border is proving difficult for the police to control.

The leader of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Satnam Singh Pannu said that we have to go towards the ring road, but the police is stopping us. We have given them 45 minutes to talk to their seniors. We are taking a peaceful march, our consent was not made on the route which these people are asking to follow.

At the same time Joint Commissioner SS Yadav says that till now the farmers have cooperated with us, we are also cooperating with them, we appeal to them to follow the same route.
