First phase of voting in West Bengal and Assam begins on Saturday

Votes will be cast as part of the first phase in West Bengal and Assam on Saturday

Amid electoral fights in four states and one union territory of the country. The Election Commission has already issued a guideline on the voting taking place in the midst of the corona virus epidemic.

In the first phase, voting will be held in 30 seats in West Bengal and 47 seats in Assam. Votes will be cast from 7 am to 6 pm in West Bengal and Assam amid tight security. Votes will be counted on 2 May.
