Gangster Suresh Pujari brought to Mumbai, remanded to Maharashtra ATS custody till Dec 25

A Red Corner Notice (RCN) was issued against him on December 20, 2016, which is valid till December 19, 2021. He was in the Philippines where he had been detained for the last two months.

Gangster Suresh Pujari, who is wanted in several cases of extortion across Mumbai, Thane and Karnataka, was extradited from the Philippines and brought to India on Tuesday night. A team of Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officials brought the gangster to Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

Sources from ATS said that on December 11, ATS took over the investigation of Mahatma Phule Chowk police station in Kalyan. In this case, the complainant had alleged that Suresh Pujari made calls to him from abroad to extort money while threatening to kill him if he failed to meet his demands.
