Hyderabad Central University incident, professor suspended after student protest

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Central University has suspended a professor after a case was registered in the case of attempted rape of a Thai student. In the complaint made to the police, the victim said that the professor took him to his house on the pretext of teaching him Hindi and tried to sexually assault him, but due to resistance, the professor could not succeed in his plan. Later, he left the student in the car near the university. As soon as this incident was reported, students came to the university campus to protest. They demanded action against the professor. The students strongly condemned the incident and raised slogans against the incident. After the case was registered and the students protested, the university authorities suspended Professor Ravi Ranjan with immediate effect.
