Indian Railways to suspend Wrestler Sushil Kumar .

Wrestler Sushil Kumar, who was involved in the murder of former international wrestler Sagar Dhankhar, has come under threat in Northern Railway.

Northern Railway has made up its mind to remove Sushil Kumar. Sushil Kumar’s application to extend his deputation from Delhi government for one year has been rejected and has been sent back to the parent department Northern Railway.


A Northern Railway source said, “Last week, the Delhi government sent back Sushil Kumar’s file to Northern Railway saying that the state government has rejected his act.” The source said that the state government has also attached an FIR in which Kumar’s name was linked to the killing of the 23-year-old wrestler during a controversy on May 4 at the Chhatrasal Stadium. Since he has been arrested by the Delhi Police, he may have to lose his job in Northern Railway as well.


A Northern Railway official said that Sushil Kumar, on behalf of the Delhi government, was working as OSD for the development of sports at the school level at the Chhatrasal Stadium. At the same time, a Delhi government official said, “He had applied for a one-year act last month, which had not been passed yet.”


Deepak Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer, Northern Railway, said, ‘The Railway Board has received a report from the Delhi Government on Sunday. An FIR has been lodged against him and he will be removed from his job. Officials also said that the official order to suspend Sushil will be issued in a day or two.
