Kangana Ranaut withdraws case against BMC

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has made a big decision to withdraw the case against BMC in 2018 over an alleged demolition case of her home, Birla Saraf, Kangana Ranaut's lawyer, informed the Bombay High Court about the decision.Her lawyers also said that she is ready to do it in the next 4 days and will apply for regularization.

In the event of adverse decision by BMC, the High Court has provided 2 weeks of protection to Kangana Ranaut.Justice Chavan said, “The appellant Kangana Ranaut is allowed to apply for regularization before the MCGM within a period of four weeks.”

The court said that the corporation will decide at the same speed and in accordance with the law. The court said, “In case of any adverse order against the appellant, no concrete action will be taken thereafter by the BMC to enable the appellant to file an appeal.”MCGM is also known as Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).In March 2018, the city’s civic body issued a notice to Ranaut for alleged illegal merger of three flats owned by him in the Orchid Breeze building in suburban Khar.
