Karnataka State announced 2 weeks lockdown.
More than 20 thousand corona positive cases have been reported in the capital of Karnataka, Bengaluru, within 24 hours on Sunday.
On Sunday, 34,804 new cases of corona were registered in the entire state of Karnataka and 143 people died due to corona infection. The new cases takes the total of corona cases in Karnataka to 13.39 lakhs while the total number of deaths from this has risen to 14,426. In view of the increased Corona cases in the state, the state government has announced a lockdown in Karnataka with strict restrictions for the next two weeks.
CM BS Yeddyurappa addressed a press after a cabinet meeting on Monday and announced sanctions in Karnataka. He said, “The virus is spreading aggressively across the state. The situation is worse here than in Maharashtra and Delhi.”
