KTR inaugurates 2BHK housing units near Chanchal guda

“The State is progressing in all sectors. At three more locations, 2BHK houses will be inaugurated soon. Nowhere in the country such a programme is underway on a huge scale,” the Minister said.

Hyderabad: The 2BHK housing units at Pilli gudiselu near Chanchalguda were inaugurated by Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday.

“The State is progressing in all sectors. At three more locations, 2BHK houses will be inaugurated soon. Nowhere in the country such a programme is underway on a huge scale,” the Minister said.

He mentioned that while building the houses, construction quality was not compromised. “Construction quality was given utmost priority while building these houses. To make sure the beneficiaries do not bear the maintenance cost we have built 19 shops. The rents from the shops can be used to maintain the housing colony,” said the Minister.

He also said scores of developmental works have been taken up in the Old City including construction of flyovers.

Home Minister Mahmood Ali, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi,  Malakpet MLA Ahmed Balala and other leaders participated in the inaugural function.

A total of 288 2BHK housing units were built at Pilligudiselu near Chanchalguda.

These dwelling units are spread over nine floors and built by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at an estimated cost of Rs 24.91 crore.
