Milk container over turns near Hyderabad, scores gather with buckets to collect milk

Hyderabad: Hundreds of liters of milk spilled on the road after a container overturned at Kandukur in Ranga Reddy district on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, the milk loaded container was on way to Hyderabad from Kandukur when the driver lost control over the vehicle after applying sudden brakes while trying to avoid a tipper coming in the opposite direction.
“The container overturned after hitting a tipper coming in the opposite direction. The driver of the container was driving in wrong direction in a rash and negligent manner,” said the Kandukur police.
On noticing the container overturned and milk leaking from it, local people in large number came with buckets and plastic cans and collected the milk.
The Kandukur police with the help of a JCB vehicle pushed the truck to the roadside and cleared the road. There was huge traffic jam on the stretch following the accident.
The police booked a case and are investigating.
