Opposition targets Centre after Serum Institute fixed price for Covid Vaccine.

The Serum Institute of India, which is making the Covishield vaccine, has announced the prices of the vaccine dose after the central government asked states to buy half the vaccine directly from the company.

The serum has said that a dose of Rs 400 will be given to the states. The Congress, Left and other opposition parties have targeted the Modi government at the Center. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has called it an attempt to benefit businessmen.
Rahul Gandhi has shared the press release issued by the Serum Institute on Twitter. In this release, Serum has informed that it will give a dose of Rs 400 to the states and Rs 600 to private hospitals. Sharing this, Rahul Gandhi wrote – “Disaster in the country and opportunity of Modi friends .. Injustice of the central government! “

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has strongly criticized the Center for this decision and said that the states are already facing financial troubles. He said that if the Center has a dose of 150 rupees then why will it be given to the states for 400 rupees. At the same time, Sitaram Yechury of CPM has also called it a bad decision.
