Amid the Corona crisis in the country, there has been a demand before the Supreme Court to convert religious and charitable sites into Covid centers.

The petition filed in the court said that those people whose property is in the name of religious and charitable places and they are given the benefit of income tax exemption, they should convert that place into a Covid Care Center during this crisis.

The petition states that those who have their own property such as Ashrams, Madrasas, Gurudwaras, Churches etc. are the beneficiaries of u /s 12 A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, their property should be converted into a Covid Care Center.

Simultaneously, the petitioner has demanded that future transactions at such sites be stopped with immediate effect and their funds should be used for the benefit of COVID patients.
