Petition in Delhi High Court seeking ban on Central Vista Project.

The second wave of Corona in the country is becoming uncontrollable. More than 4 lakh new patients are getting infected every day.

In such a situation, there is a huge scarcity of medicines and oxygen in the hospitals of the country. Meanwhile, the demand for a ban on the Central Government’s Central Vista project has intensified. A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking a stay on the project. On which the court has given time for hearing on Tuesday.

In fact, the High Court had listed the hearing of the stay petition for May 17. Last week, the Supreme Court had filed a petition seeking an interim stay on the project, on which the SC had asked the petitioner to request a hearing from the High Court at the earliest. To which the petitioner said that it would be too late. Therefore, the petition was filed in the Supreme Court.

This morning, senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra briefed the bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jasmeet Singh about the order of the Supreme Court. Now the Delhi High Court is set to hear the petition on the Central Vista Project on Tuesday. Opposition parties are continuously opposing this project. He says that during this spread epidemic its work should be given.
