On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s Death Anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Gandhi Smriti and attended the prayer meetings. Earlier in the morning, the PM also visited Rajghat and paid tribute to the Mahatma Gandhi.
Today is the 73rd death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. In 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was shot dead by Nathuram Godse in Delhi on the evening of 30th January.
On his death anniversary, PM Modi also remembered Mahatma Gandhi on social media. He tweeted and wrote- Salutations to Bapu on his death anniversary, “Bapu’s thoughts will continue to inspire millions.
On this occasion, I salute all the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the freedom of India.”
