PM Modi predicts the polling day announcement date.
Election dates of the assembly elections will be announced by the Election Commission soon in five states, but before that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given such indications that the Election Commission can announce the dates of elections on 7th March.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a tour of West Bengal and then later Assam. On Monday, Addressing a gathering in Dhemaji district of Assam, PM Modi said, “last time the date of the 2016 assembly elections was announced on March 4, but this year I am guessing that the Election Commission can declare the assembly polls dates on 7th March.”
PM Modi further said, “it is up to the Election Commission to announce the dates, but until the announcement is made, I will visit Assam, West Bengal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
