Shashi Tharoor tweeted fake news of the demise of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Shashi Tharoor fell victim to fake news on April 22 and made a big mistake.

Shashi Tharoor tweeted fake news of the demise of former Lok Sabha Speaker and senior BJP leader Sumitra Mahajan and also paid tribute to her.
Sumitra Mahajan is perfectly fine. Shashi Tharoor became very trolled on social media after tweeting fake news. Shortly after tweeting, however, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor came to know that he had tweeted the wrong information. By then, the screenshot of his tweet had gone viral. On Shashi Tharoor’s tweet, BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that Tai (Sumitra Mahajan) is very healthy. May God prolong her life.


Congress leader Shashi Tharoor tweeted on Thursday night, “I am saddened to hear about the demise of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan. I am remembering many of my positives with her. I am also recalling when she and late Sushma Swaraj asked me to lead the Indian Parliamentary delegation. My condolences to the family. ” As soon as Shashi Tharoor realized that he had tweeted the wrong information, he immediately deleted his tweet.
