SUPREME COURT BAR ASSOCIATION (SCBA) PRESIDENT RESIGNS

Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President and Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave has resigned from his post.

After resigning on Thursday, he said he renounced his right to continue working as leader of the bar association.

Noting that the tenure of the SCBA Executive Committee has already expired, Dave stated in his brief letter that it is not possible to hold virtual elections as per schedule ‘due to the dominance of some lawyers’.

Dave said, “I understand his position and I have no quarrel with it, but it would be morally wrong for me to act as chairman in these circumstances.”
