Amid the growing outbreak of Corona, the Supreme Court has announced a summer vacation ahead of schedule. According to the information, instead of May 14, the summer vacation begins from May 10. CJI NV Raman has decided to reschedule the summer vacation of the Supreme Court after considering the suggestion submitted by lawyers’ organizations due to the alarming increase in Corona cases.
On 26th April, the Chief Justice took cognizance of the request of the lawyers’ organization, in which they had requested to declare the summer vacation earlier in view of the increasing cases of Corona. With this, the CJI decided to put the matter before the full bench for consideration.
