Tehelka Chief Tarun Tejpal acquitted in sexual abuse case.

The court verdict came on Friday in the sexual abuse case involving Tehelka magazine's former editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal, in which he was acquitted of all charges.

Tejpal was sexually assaulted by a woman worker who worked with him 8 years ago, although in 2014 the court granted him conditional bail. It is hoped that the lawyers for the aggrieved party will soon file a petition against this decision in the High Court.
The victim alleges that in November 2013 she was in a five-star hotel in Goa. During this, she was sexually abused by Tarun Tejpal inside the lift. On which she lodged a complaint with the police. He was arrested on 30th November 2013 due to the seriousness of the case. However, he got bail after a few months. After this, the police also investigated and filed a 2846-page charge sheet against Tejpal in 2014. Then in September 2017, the Mapusa court framed charges against Tejpal. On which Tejpal declared himself innocent.
