Dia Mirza pens heartbreaking note as niece Tanya Kakde dies in car accident, says ‘my child, my jaan’

It’s a hard day for Dia Mirza and her family. The actress’ niece Tanya Kakde passed away unfortunately in a car accident in Hyderabad. Dia Mirza took to her Instagram handle on Monday, August 1, and penned a heartbreaking note on her niece’s death. Without revealing the cause of death or any other detail about the incident, Dia shared a photo of her niece and wrote, “My niece. My child. My jaan.”
DIA MIRZA MOURNS NIECE TANYA KAKDE’S DEATH
Dia Mirza shared an emotional post on her Instagram account informing the public about the demise of her niece Tanya Kakde. In her heartbreaking post, Dia wrote, “My neice. My child. My jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling you always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti (sic).” She also shared a picture of Tanya looking pretty in a yellow tank top and brown pants.
ABOUT TANYA KAKDE’S DEATH
According to Siasat Daily, Tanya Kakde was coming back from Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi international airport with four other friends when the accident took place. The accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling overturned after hitting the road divider at Satamrai. Tanya died while being taken to the hospital. Her body was taken toto Osmania hospital and her parents were informed.
Tanya Kakade was 25 years old. She was the daughter of Congress party leader Mohammed Feroz Khan. She was working as a beautician. Tanya, in an earlier interview to You and I magazine, had said how she looked up to Dia Mirza for inspiration for her work. She said, “I grew up watching and learning from all of the strong women in my life my mother, my nani, my ammama, Deepa dadi, and my mashi, Dia Mirza.”
