Now the army has killed terrorist Sajjad Afghani, the commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed, in a big attack on the terrorists plans. The slain commander Sajjad Afghani was involved in recruiting new youth. A total of two militants have been killed in an encounter in Shopian with security forces.
The encounter started on 13th March in Rawalpora area of ​​Shopian. During this operation, one terrorist was killed, after which the other terrorist was also eliminated.


IGP Kashmir congratulated the Shopian police and security forces for eliminating JeM commander terrorist Sajjad Afghani in the encounter.
The second terrorist killed in the Shopian encounter has been identified as Jahangir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Ashe Narapora in Shopian belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to police records, he was active since September last year. According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, a USA-made M4 carbine rifle and other dangerous materials including weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site of the encounter. 3 houses caught fire during the encounter as a group of miscreants tried to disrupt the operation and cause law and order problems.
