Ishan Kishan creates history – the honor of scoring the fastest and youngest double century in ODIs

Hyderabad _ December 10 Cricketer Ishan Kishan has made history. He became the fourth Indian batsman to score a double century in ODIs. He accomplished this feat in the third ODI against Bangladesh. But Kishan scored a double century in 126 balls. It has 23 fours and 9 sixes. Kishan completed his century in just 85 balls.

Kishan broke the previous record of West Indies’ Chris Gayle for making a double century. Kishan became the fastest cricketer to score a double century in ODIs. In the 2015 ODI World Cup, Gayle scored a double century in 138 balls against Zimbabwe, today Kishan scored a double century in just 126 balls against Bangladesh. Kishan achieved this record in 12 balls less than Gayle.

Ishan also became the youngest cricketer to score a double century in ODIs. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma have scored double centuries for India in the past. Ishan became the seventh batsman to score a double century in ODI history. Martin Guptill, Gayle and Fakhar Zaman are the top achievers of this record.
