Police injured after BMW car hit him from behind in Hyderabad

yderabad, March 22: In a shocking incident, a police inspector in Hyderabad was injured after a speeding BMW car hit him from behind on Tank Bund Road during early Monday morning.

The policeman has been identified as Musheerabad Inspector, Jahangeer Yadav.

According to police, Yadav was patrolling in the area when he got down from the police vehicle to check something on the road.

In the meanwhile, a BMW car that was approaching the police officer at a considerable high speed hit him from behind.

Yadav was subsequently shifted to a private hospital where he is under observation.

The driver, Mir Osman Ali Khan in his defence said that he failed to notice the police inspector walking on the road and lost control over the vehicle before hitting the cop.

The police has said that A case has been registered against the driver, Mir Osman Ali Khan and the vehicle has been seized.

“Apparently, he could not control the vehicle on spotting the inspector and hit him. A case was booked against him and the vehicle was seized,” the police said.

The police added that a breather analyzer check was done on the BMW driver and it was found that the driver had not consumed alcohol.
