Rajanna Sircilla: TSRTC bus washed away in flood waters
The Siddipet depot bus carrying 20 passengers from Kamareddy to Siddipet was stuck on the causeway across the rivulet following heavy flow of water.
Rajanna Sircilla: A TSRTC bus that got stuck in the swollen Manair Vagu near Lingannapeta of Ghambiraopet mandal on Monday was swept away on Tuesday when the water level in the rivulet increased.
The Siddipet depot bus carrying 20 passengers from Kamareddy to Siddipet was stuck on the causeway across the rivulet following heavy flow of water. The driver stopped the bus in the middle of the bridge when the vehicle tilted to one side. Local, however, rescued the passengers, pulling them out of the driver’s door and emergency doors.
Officials’ efforts to pull the bus from the bridge with the help of a JCB failed and the vehicle was swept away with the water level rising on Tuesday due to incessant rainfall.
