CM KCR seeks people’s support to create ‘Bangaru Bharat’

After laying foundation for the Sangameshwara and Basaweshwara Lift Irrigation Projects at Narayankhed on Monday, Chandrashekhar Rao said Telangana has come a long way since its creation.

Sangareddy: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao sought people’s support for developing the country into a ‘Bangaru Bharat’ (Golden India) on the lines of ‘Bangaru Telangana’ which developed siginificantly beyond the expectations. He stated that Telangana will play a vital role in the national politics and ensure that India develops beyond US and other countries as well as become a role model for others in terms of development.

After laying foundation for the Sangameshwara and Basaweshwara Lift Irrigation Projects at Narayankhed on Monday, Chandrashekhar Rao said Telangana has come a long way since its creation. He said Telangana surpassed its sister State of Andhra Pradesh in terms of development and was making new strides at the national level. “Telangana is on the right track of development. But after 75 years of independence, the country has not progressed as it should have been. Hence, we must also strive for development of this country such that the State makes a better progress,” he said.

The Chief Minister stated that divisive and communal politics were being promoted in the country which should not be allowed under any circumstances. Instead, he suggested that the focus should be on development and employment to facilitate establishment of industries and creation of employment opportunities for the youth. “We cannot have development without maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and proper maintenance of law and order. It is time that people discuss about this issue among themselves and come to a conclusion. Let us all progress without any discrimination of caste, religion or community,” he said.
