13 Turkish civillians found dead in north Iraq

Turkey has claimed that 13 of its civilians have been murdered in North Iraq after being kidnapped.

Following this claim by the Turkish Defense Minister, tensions in the Gulf countries are expected to increase further. The Turkish defense minister claimed that Turkish soldiers recovered the bodies of 13 Turkish nationals from a complex in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq.


Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akrar claimed in his statement that 13 Turkish civilians were first kidnapped and then killed in Kurdish. According to the Defense Minister, 12 out of 13 civilians were shot in the head while one was shot in the shoulder.

The Turkish army was operating against the Kurdistan Workers Party in Gara region of North Iraq, while the bodies of all Turkish citizens have been found in the Gara region. He has said that there have been quite violent clashes between Turkish and Kurdish militants during this period.
