Hyderabad: Realtor penalised Rs 4 lakh for cutting down 65 trees

the developers located at Chilkur of Moinabad mandal in RR district had chopped 65 trees at its site without seeking mandatory permissions from Forest department.

Hyderabad: A real estate company which cut down trees without required permissions, was penalised Rs 4 lakh by the Forest department.

According to Forest officials, the developers located at Chilkur of Moinabad mandal in RR district had chopped 65 trees at its site without seeking mandatory permissions from Forest department. Following complaints from local residents, the officials carried out an inspection of the site and found the developer of indiscriminately removing the trees.

After the inspection, as per WALTA Act provisions, a penalty of Rs 4 lakh was imposed and the company was directed to plant saplings and protect them.
