‘Return gift…’: BJP MLA triggers row with video of UP cops beating ‘rioters’

BJP MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi shares a video of alleged rioters being brutally thrashed by the Uttar Pradesh police. The MLA captioned the video as ‘return gift to rioters’. In the video around nine men can be seen begging and trying to block the blows being rained on them incessantly by two policemen. The place appears to be a police station but the location is not clear yet. This video which has now gone viral caught the attention of former U.P CM Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh slammed the ‘police brutality’ and questioned the Yogi govt over the same. Watch this report to know more
