Bomb attack on West Bengal’s Labour Minister .

Zakir Hussain, Minister of State for Labour in the West Bengal government, has been attacked with a bomb.

Hussain was attacked in the Wednesday night at Nimitta railway station in Murshidabad district. Zakir Hussain had arrived there to go to Kolkata and was waiting for the train. Meanwhile, at around ten o’clock, unknown people attacked him with a bomb. Apart from Zakir Hussain, two more people have also been injured in this attack. The three injured have been admitted to a hospital in Jangipura, where they are being treated.
An official of the hospital said that the minister suffered “injuries on his legs and lower abdominal part. We are trying to stabilise him before shifting him to a hospital in Kolkata.”


West Bengal Police said that Zakir Hussain and others were attacked when they were waiting for the train going to Kolkata at around 10 pm on the number 2 platform of Nimmita railway station. After which they were taken to the hospital. Police has started investigating the matter. No arrests have been made in the case yet. Zakir Hussain is an MLA from Jangipura Assembly seat in Murshidabad district.

The attack on TMC minister Zakir Hussain was caught on camera. A video is doing the rounds on social media that shows a blast taking place even as Hossain walked his way in Murshidabad.
