TMC reached EC over attack on Mamata Banerjee.

The Trinamool Congress reached the Election Commission on Wednesday evening complaining about the alleged attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram.

TMC MP Derek O’Brien and ministers in the Raj government Chandrika Bhattacharya and Partha Chatterjee met officials at the Election Commission office in Kolkata this afternoon. The TMC delegation has demanded the Election Commission in the matter to take action against those who attacked their party chief.


After leaving the Election Commission office, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien said, “on March 9, the commission changed the DGP, the next day on March 10, a BJP MP wrote on social media that you will understand what happens after 5 pm is gonna be. After this, at 6 pm on Wednesday evening, this incident happened with Mamta Didi in Nandigram. With this, a lot is being understood as to how this has been done. We want the truth of this incident to be revealed. “


On the statement of BJP and Congress leaders, Derek said, “the matter is being called a liar and mild statements are being made. We want to say that go and meet the doctors and ask what has happened.”
In the case of attack on Mamta Banerjee, the police have registered a case under sections 341 and 323 of the IPC. After the TMC, the BJP delegation has also reached the Election Commission. The BJP has appealed to the Election Commission to release the full video of the incident with Mamata Banerjee.
