AIMIM to begin their party campaign in West Bengal from 25th February .

Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has started preparations to field party candidates in the West Bengal assembly elections as per his earlier announcement.

The AIMIM Chief himself is going to start campaigning for the party from 25th February. According to the ideology of his party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, he has chosen the Muslim-majority Metiaburj area of the capital Kolkata. Even more noticeable is that this area comes under the Diamond Harbor Lok Sabha constituency, from where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee is TMC MP. Therefore, Owaisi’s move is being interpreted in many ways, especially because the Congress and the Left have announced an alliance with the party of the chief of the Furfura Sharif Dargah.

The Party sources have said that he will reach the Pink Scourge of Metiaburj on Thursday and will address a public meeting there. The constituency is in South 24 Parganas district, which is part of the Diamond Harbor parliamentary seat. The campaigning of Owaisi from the constituency of Abhishek Banerjee, the nephew of the Chief Minister and considered the number two in the Trinamool, is considered to be a big sign for Bengal politics. Significantly, excited by winning five seats in the Bihar assembly elections, the Hyderabad leader had announced to contest the Bengal assembly elections. He has been accused by anti-BJP parties of helping him in elections.
