Delegates Of 24 countries visit Jammu and Kashmir .

A team of foreign delegates has arrived in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the situation after the removal of Section 370.

This team of diplomats met the administrative officials in Jammu on Thursday to take stock of the situation. This team of diplomats from 24 countries also includes members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). This team has reached to ascertain the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.


Representatives of these countries are visiting at a time when 4G mobile internet service has recently been resumed for the first time after the state’s special status was abolished in Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019.

The delegation arrived on Wednesday includes representatives from France, European Union, Italy, Finland, Cuba, Chile, Portugal and other countries. The delegation also includes representatives from OIC member countries Malaysia, Bangladesh, Senegal and Tajikistan. The delegation has interacted with the local people before meeting the administration of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as members of the elected District Development Council (DDC) shortly before.
