Indian soldier detained for passing information to Pakistan.

An Indian army soldier In Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested for transferring important information to the Pakistan.

The Indian Army has ordered an inquiry into a case of data breach in the Northern Command following an order in which a soldier was found giving data to Pakistani agencies. Army sources said that the data leaking jawan is from Punjab, who is posted on the Northern Command.


The arrested jawan is being questioned. After the incident unfolded, a team has been ordered to find out how the military could access the data and to what extent its vital information has been leaked to Pakistani agencies. It is also learned that he has passed important data electronically to henchmen in Pakistan. However the identity of the soldier has been kept secret. The information given by the jawan may pose a big threat to the security of the army soldiers posted in Jammu and Kashmir.


Earlier on Wednesday, 4 soldiers were killed by army personnel in Anantnag in Jammu and Kashmir. Two AK-47 rifles were also recovered from the terrorists killed in the encounter. Kashmir Zone IG Vijay Kumar had told that the two terrorists killed were of Jaish. However, the search operation is still on for the terrorists. The encounter was carried out by the security forces in the Srigufwara Shalagul forest area. Police, army and CRPF jointly conducted a search operation on the information of terrorists in the area.
