Prakash Javadekar said, “From March 1, more than 10 crore people above 60 years of age and those above 45 years who have any other disease will be vaccinated.” The vaccine will be vaccinated at 10,000 government centers and in over 20 thousand private hospitals.
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the vaccination at the government health care centers will be free while private hospitals will charge vaccine fee. The health department will announce vaccine fee in next 2-3 days.
This is the first time in the country that the private sector is being actively involved in vaccination. This allows the corona vaccine to those who are ready to pay for it.
According to the Health Ministry data, a total of 1,26,71,163 people have been vaccinated with the Corona virus vaccine. The Corona vaccination campaign started in India on 16th January 2021,which is the world’s largest corona vaccination campaign.
