National Commission For Women asked DGP To take action in BJP worker’s mother attack case.

There is a huge controversy in the BJP and TMC over the attack on the 85-year-old mother of a BJP worker in West Bengal.

The National Commission for Women has also raised its ears after seeing the bloated face of an elderly woman amid fears of violence in the West Bengal assembly elections. The commission has asked the state DGP to take action in the matter.

The elderly woman has also complained that she and her son have been attacked because they are associated with the BJP. But, now the ruling Trinamool Congress has termed the allegations as false and claimed that the swollen face of the elderly woman is seen, not because of an attack, but due to some disease. Not only this, TMC has accused BJP of beating the woman.
Significantly, the elderly woman and her son Gopal Majumdar were allegedly attacked by some attackers in their house in North 24 Parganas district. Shobha Majumdar later alleged that she and her son were beaten up because her son works for the BJP.

Shobha said, ” that two people pushed me. My son’s head and hands are injured. I do not feel well, I can’t sit properly. I was also beaten up while I cant even get up from bed.”
Shobha alleged that the attackers were three to four and had covered their faces and threatened her son.

The police officer, however, claimed that the mother of the BJP supporter was not attacked and that her face was swollen owing to some ailment.
